:: Background I don't have a full background written up just yet, so here are a few details I have so far. TW: sexual abuse He has severe hearing-loss in his left ear. He understands other people best if he's looking directly at them with his head tilted to turn his right ear toward them. Background noise makes things very hard for him. He thinks his hearing aid is ugly and often "forgets" to put it in in the morning He's gay, though not quite ready to admit such a thing as he still fully believes that it's a Sin. He was sent to the Academy at the age of 12 to improve this grades (he is rather hopeless in school) because the school had a good reputation and shared his parents' values. He was a very shy boy, afraid that people would make fun of him; he turned to the one person he knew he could trust, the school's pastor. Soon, he was utterly devoted to the man, willing to do most anything for him. The pastor took complete and total advantage of this, in the worst possible way. Ernst knows this was wrong, but hasn't told anyone. Part of him blames himself, and part of him just...really liked the attention.
